Gas is overall the most realistic option you can choose. It gives a blowback to the gun and gives a realistic magazine size. Gas is stored inside a magazine of the gun and pressurised. When the trigger is pulled a hammer pushes a valve in the magazine releasing gas, creating pressure that fires the bb out of the barrel. The biggest reason to choose for gas is the blowback and the licensing by the manufacturer like the Umarex Glock 19x Gas Blowback powered with Nuprol 2.0 Premium Green Gas (300g). The downside of a gas gun is that the gas is expensive as well as maintenance of the gun.
Airsoft Gas and Co2: similarities and differences
CO2 is very similar to Gas in the way it is used. It handles a bit different though, Co2 works much better in cold weather because gas makes the gun cold. Co2 shoots a lot harder too but needs more Co2 magazines. However, Co2 wears down much quicker without proper maintenance and you need to replace the Co2 magazine after every reloads as they are single-use. We recommend the Kwc Desert Eagle .50ae Co2 Blowback with Swiss Arms Co2 Capsules (25 Pieces).
Practicality of Airsoft Gas and Co2
Co2 is a stronger gas than Green Gas. Co2 is therefore of great use of snipers. However, the biggest reason why Green Gas is popular is that you don’t need to replace the magazine after every reloads and you can just keep topping up the gas. Green gas is also much cheaper than co2. If you can’t decide between Gas or Co2 you can always go electric!
