Airsoft HPA (High Pressure Air) is a relatively new technology within airsoft. Most airsoft replicas are powered by a battery, a gearbox with a cylinder and a motor. With an Airsoft HPA, these three parts are replaced. You carry a tank with compressed air with you, so you can manually adjust the air pressure. This influences the FPS of the BBs.

Learn more about Airsoft HPA:
High Pressure Air guns have gained popularity in the last years for good reasons. The guns are very easy to maintain as there is no motor, gearbox and battery instead it is replaced by a gas tank and engine. A few other pros are large amounts of control over FPS, consistency in shooting, good performance in the cold and they are quieter than Gas guns. We recommend the Tippmann M4 Carbine Co2 / Hpa Blowback (Upgraded). This gun has the option to either use Co2 magazines or attach the HPA tank. Together with the Tippmann Small 13ci Aluminum Hpa Tank, your loadout is light and agile. Because of special rules on some fields regarding HPA you need to be able to lock the FPS the Tippmann M4 Velocity Lock allows you to do that so you will keep the referees and admins as your best friend.
Airsoft HPA pros and cons
We advise you to do research regarding HPA. It is definitely a more complicated system as oppose to AEG or Gas replicas. Using the gun safely and maintenance is extremely important as they are quite expensive devices. Some HPA systems perform differently than other systems. The Tippmann Small 13ci Aluminum Hpa Tank performs a lot different than the systems from Wolverine Airsoft Hpa Systems Storm Regulator Ontank With Remote Line – Black. Also, take notice that they use different lines and regulators. Talking about regulators, in HPA system the output pressure is usually too high because of that you use regulators like the Balystik Hpr800c Regulator Version 3.
