The JG1138 replica belongs to the second generation of JG replicas, based on the TM design and fully compatible with the components of both this company and most other manufacturers also deriving their designs from Tokyo Marui replicas. The replica, like the original, is made mostly of lightweight and durable polymer. Metal is used for the barrel and a set of aluminium RAS rails, allowing a wide variety of RAS-compliant devices and accessories to be attached to the replica. The barrel is pleasant to the touch and resistant to damage, and its proper balance improves the overall manoeuvrability of the replica. These features, combined with a discharge rate of 360 FPS, make the JG1138 an excellent replica for CQB-type combat. The entire unit is made in a modular system. As befits a JG, it also features reinforced gears and a directional piston head, which significantly affects the effectiveness of the replica. The modular construction system has made it possible to use a socket that allows the use of popular M4/M16 type magazines, which is of great importance when striving to unify the equipment of an airsoft team. Other important features of this model, which increase its utility value, are a double-sided fire selector and a multi-position VLTOR-type buttstock.
The replica usesa quick-change spring system. In order to access the Gearbox, it is enough to knock out the pin located at the stock lock and then pull out the stock locking element. We then gain access to the mainspring guide, which can be quickly and easily pulled out through the rear wall of the gearbox. This allows us to quickly and efficiently adjust the power of the replica to the conditions expected on the field of play without the need to have access to a workshop or a range of specialised tools.
