The G&G Top Tech TR4-18 Light AEG Airsoft Gun is G&G’s take on a classic favorite. It has a very solid feel, with its full metal body, and 614-style RIS system. Being that it is part of G&G’s Top Tech line, it also features their pneumatic blowback system which adds a great extra element of realism.

G&G TR4-18 Light: Very User Friendly

The removable 416-style iron sights and the ergonomic pistol grip serve to make the gun aesthetically pleasing, and also make the TR4-18 incredibly user friendly. On top of that, this is a re-designed version of G&G’s original model, and is now wired to the rear, making it even easier to use. Internally, the TR4-18 also boasts a very strong 8 mm ball bearing gearbox as well as a functioning forward assist, which sets it apart from other similar AEG’s. Amazing And Interesting Features Of The G&G TR4-18 Light

An interesting feature is the pneumatic blowback system. Most manufacturers only hook this bolt plate behind the inner piston. And the bolt plate moves during shooting. However, G&G has found another way. There is a pneumatic piston above the gearbox. Air from the cylinder goes above the gearbox and pushes this pneumatic piston which is connected with the bolt plate. After a cyclic move, air goes back to the cylinder so there is no pressure lost. System is very effective and does not stress the motor, piston or battery. Another interesting and definitely original thing is the functional forward assist button. The button on the right side of the body, which is just a malfunction on common airsoft weapons. Not here. After shooting, the piston may be in the rear position and compress the spring. It is good to release it before packing the gun and not stress the spring and lose power. Just press this button and it will release the piston and spring.
